Very nice old English style pub and great food
Had the garlic chicken pasta and scampi and chips but it was low quality for the price. Pasta was over cooked, double cream sauce bland and to heavy the onions are to big for the dish. The 1980s style dusting of herbs aeound the rim of the plate should have given the quality away. The scampi was over cooked to dark brown not golden, needed to buy another drink. Even the ladies fish next to us looked way over cooked again. All in all a dated disappointment
Wow loved it cosy traditional English pub, fantastic food. Good atmosphere thankfully no loud music. Had a wonderful evening.
Great little county pub with a good menu and beer selection. The menu has a special selection that changes regularly. Good portions and quality on the food.
I would advise that when you order your food you pay so that any picking of items of a more expensive menu is spotted before you eat.Ordered 2 x scamp off 2 for 1 menu @ 13.50 and we got billed 21.00 off normal menu.Food was very nice but drinks a bit pricey with pint of cider and pint of lemonade 6.90Won't be in a rush to go back.
